Braid Fullrace AC 18” wheels are manufactured using flow-forming technology and designed to excel in track use, offering an excellent balance between weight and strength and durability.
 
Many cars run ultra-light wheels with little to no safety margin in terms of load rating. While this may be acceptable for a road-driven car on street tires, the situation changes completely on track, particularly when using semi-slick or slick tires, which generate significantly higher loads.
 
Track use demands a much higher wheel load rating to remain within safe operating limits and to allow you to fully exploit both your driving ability and the car’s performance - safely. On a heavy car like the Alfa Romeo Giulia, having wheels with a sufficient load rating is critical. An inadequate wheel load rating can lead to structural failure and compromise in safety, especially under track conditions. This is a crucial but often overlooked aspect that deserves far more attention.
 
Thanks to the use of advanced design software and FEA optimization, the wheels are super strong (690kg wheel load rating), while the concave spoke design enhances its sporty aesthetics and also optimizes the inner profile to provide sufficient clearance for larger brakes. For drivers looking for improved handling performance and aesthetics while retaining an OEM-style staggered setup, we recommend opting for 18" wheels instead of 19", paired with higher-sidewall tires. This combination increases thermal capacity and improves bump absorption, resulting in better ride compliance and better performance on track and the road.
 
Recommended staggered setup:
18" x 9.0" ET30 with 255/40/18 tires front (*GMS camber and caster kit recommended)
18" x 10.5" ET40 with 295/35/18 tires rear

While a staggered setup looks great, it is not optimal from a performance standpoint given the weight distribution of the Alfa Romeo Giulia. For drivers focused on track performance, a square setup is the way to go. This configuration distributes load more evenly between the front and rear axles, resulting in a less snappy balance, reduced understeer, and a more neutral, predictable feel at the limit.
